Of the post-game (or mid-game) unlockable characters (Julius, Maria, Maxim, etc.) who's your favorite, and why? Mine would have to be Richter in Symphony-- Symphony was the first game I played and as such Richter was the first character I ever took control of, so I love playing as him through Symphony's levels.

Albus definitely. So much fun and so fast paced, also helps that the story really made me like him :)

So much fun and so fast paced, also helps that the story really made me like him :) Albus is one of the unlockable characters I'm most excited to play, up there with Trevor in Curse of Darkness. His gun-focused moveset seems like such a neat contrast to the sheer amount of glyps (and combos) Shanoa has. I loved his boss fight, so getting to run through the story as him is gonna be fun.
It would have been so cool if instead of fighting Albus in the Mystery Manor, you fought Shanoa.

That would be amazing, wouldn't it? Since Shanoa has so many abilities I imagine it would make for a pretty cool and unpredictable fight (and make for interesting role swap scenarios) And yeah, his moveset is awesome. Pretty much any ability he has in the boss fight is at your disposal.

It would be so neat if Albus mode was either what would happen if Albus *had* been the bearer of Dominus, with Shanoa being the one to realize that Dominus would kill him, or an alternate scenario where he beat Shanoa in the canon boss fight and went on to fight Dracula.

i mean, its trevor in curse of darkness, for possibly the most obvious bias reasons of all time. but other than that, i think my favourite unlockable characters are probably maxim and the combined trio of dawn julius mode :> i really like how speedy maxim is, hes very fun to race through the castle with, and julius mode in dawn i just adore as a homage to cviii overall

I've only ever played Aria's Julius mode (Dawn's gameplay just never quite clicked for me) but it was a ton of fun, I love how speedy he is.

It's all happening again, just like the beginning, when it should have been the end.

It fits in perfectly with the themes of cycles. One day I really ought to play it... Especially playing as Yoko seems like a lot of fun

I've gone on terrifyingly long rambles in my DMs about this to friends. The way bosses repeat. The castle entrance has the same layout. Every Belmont takes the same first steps past the gate. It gets me. It always gets me.
