its hard to pick a favorite good one, but ill always be a balore(aos) hater. despite so many others being more challenging, balore put me off of aria for a week. maybe its the unforgiving knockback.... ?

I remember getting walled pretty hard by Death the first time I played Aria, but I think my vote probably goes to any of the COTM bosses because of just how sucky the controls are and how tight and unforgiving the window for dodging is.
(I'm always going to be mad about how my L and R buttons broke on my DS Lite right before I was about to fight Dracula and finish my first playthrough of COTM lol)

Brachyura gave me a bunch of trouble, I hadn't quite figured out how magnes worked yet when I first played ooe so I would keep messing up the last bit and dying and having to repeat the whole thing. It's really not that bad, just long. The ending makes it worth it.
The Dracula fight in Bloodlines wasn't very fun. At that point in the level you're so boss fatigued you can only groan instead of appreciating a dracula fight.

Brachyura being mentioned reminded me of Eligor and that I forgot to mention him in my first post lol. I love the concept but the hitboxes are a bit janky. Least favorite OOE boss but such a cool design and gimmick...

Least favorite OOE boss but such a cool design and gimmick... eligor was so fun for me, i remember that being the boss where i was really gaining momentum with the controls.. though its hard to pick a least favorite for ooe i love all of its bosses tbh

Yeah overall OOE has really fun and engaging boss fights. Albus and Barlowe are the best fights (possibly even in the whole series if I may be so bold)

Rahab isn't hard, but it's boring and 90% of the fight is spent twiddling your thumbs waiting for it to present it's face for punching.

Since Medusa herself is a boss and can attack by sending out Medusa Heads in Portrait of Ruin I will count it

eligor made me drop the game lmfao i have beaten it now but i won't forget that first playthrough. also the stupid crab. dracula in cv3 isn't that hard but that fact that if you game over you start at the beginning of the stage rather than the castle stairs... kiss my arse

SANCTUARY FIGHT FROM POR. FUCK THAT NOISE!!!!!!!!!!! i have never raged at a castlevania boss before that one. one of the worst experiences of my life and the only reason i'm hesitant to replay the game even though the rest of it is an s tier vania experience.

- Frankenstein/Igor in CV1 because I literally cannot do that without the holy water, as in I've restarted the entire game multiple times because I accidentally picked up a different subweapon right before the fight.
- Soleil and Dracula in Belmont's Revenge-- Soleil because every time I won it felt like complete chance rather than actually winning through ability/strategy, and Dracula because the fight's mostly like a memory game thing with his teleportation patterns and that's not the kind of skill you expect to use in a CV boss fight.
- Galamoth vs. Maria in Saturn SOTN because her spell inputs are hard :'( (the fight's fine with Alucard)
First and last ones are my own fault but I think the final section of Belmont's Revenge is legit just kind of janky.
