Barlowe explains the monsters appearing in times of peace with this: "In Castlevania's shadow, evil thrives. Its memory alone attracts foul fiends."
But also, Albus later explains (in the Japanese script) that the Belmonts were subconciously drawn to the area because of the memory of Dracula's presence- likened to fate, or their blood pulling them there.
I just think it's fascinating that they used the same explanation, as well as how that ties into how the Belmonts were once feared for their power- as well as how that might tie into the aspect of their bloodline being "tainted" post-SOTN...?

Yes if anything it makes sense too with Father Nikolai Explaining that Even before he laid a single brick down on these evil lands, it was as if God had told him to come to that area, that they were exactly where they were supposed to be.
