Welcome to Forgemasters! I think everyone already knows basic forum etiquette, but here's the rundown:
1. No bigotry or hate of any kind - This is a bannable offense. This includes transphobia, racism, homophobia, ableism, etc.
2. Be respectful and understanding - Try to be civil even if you end up in an argument or debate. In today's internet, it's so easy to get swept up in bad faith engagement with others because algorithms are designed around generating outrage. We have no place for that here, and intend to have a more relaxing online experience.
3. No spam - Self explanatory! Double posting is fine but try to remember that you can edit your own post with additional information if necessary.
4. Netflix is confined to off-topic - Mostly for personal reasons, but if you must discuss the show then I'd prefer you keep it off the main board.
5. Activity is not required. - This forum can seem dead and/or inactive but I do think having a space where you're not pressured to be constantly active is nice. Post when you feel like it, don't feel bad if you don't post "enough".
And most importantly...
6. Have fun!!!
I created this board due to an absence of similar spaces in today's Castlevania fandom- an older forum seems to not be accepting new members, and most of the CV fandom spaces I end up in are pretty self-contained (like tumblr mutual circles, that sort of thing. I do love the Tumblr Mutual Experience but it does feel like you have to be in the right friend group to be "in" the games fandom as it is today) and hard to get into for newcomers who are interested in the games, especially because of how oversaturated Netflix content is.
My aim here was to create a place where anyone can discuss the vampire-slaying games we all love. Thanks, everyone :)
