I dig Rondo tbh, the music and cutscenes make it feel so stylish and it has Maria in it which is always a plus

Gameplay wise it's gotta be Bloodlines for me. Eric is very fun to play as. In story potential I find Simon's Quest really fascinating tho!

i think just cuz i played the first one, i really like the first castlevania. the arcade cabinet style games are always really cool if not STUPID hard

rondo of blood, since that counts. im horrendously bad at classicvanias but rondo im the least bad at so far. plus its the original lesbian castlevania game and the 90s anime style is VERY charming. not to mention it has animated cutscenes‼️ and its interesting to see richter before the change that led to sotn, and the end cutscene with dracula has very interesting dialogue and i dont think any of the remakes have captured it quite the same

The Adventure Rebirth was my very first Classicvania and my second CV game after SoTN, and I still think it was very well crafted, it had all the parts that make Classicvanias a fun challenge.
Conversely, Belmont's Revenge was my last CV game, and what a glowup from its prequel! Super fun, unique structure in how it allows you to choose its stages, memorable gimmicks (like that room that goes dark if you destroy the candles) and an OST that goes illegaly hard for a Gameboy game.

I keep forgetting Rondo's a classicvania, but that would probably be my answer. aside from that, I really like bloodlines, i just really enjoy the whole thing its got going on.
